The Red Wolf Inn

Every year we celebrate Canada’s Birthday on July 1, in Houston, British Columbia. This year (2015) it was Canada’s 148th Birthday and I went to the Jamie Baxter Park where I could watch, and film the celebrations.

I wandered around chatting with folks who were attending, and taking pictures of each of the events.

I came across some folks who who were having a lot of fun, and battling it out in full dress from the Medieval period. One fellow by the name of Troy Reitsma looked awesome and was having sword fights on the lawn with the kids and adults. It was so much fun to watch.

What I did not know was, there is a place between Houston and Smithers British Columbia called The Red Wolf Inn. The proprietors of the Inn are his Lordship Wlfryd of Leedes and her Ladyship Rhiannon of Shrewsbury.

If you are wanting to spend some time at the Inn, you should make reservations for your stay. You can email Wlfryd and Rhiannon at reservations@redwolfinn.ca

The Inn is built to resemble a Tudor style building. It accommodates up to 22 patrons with room and board, as a Bed and Breakfast.

This is a Medieval Inn - there is no electricity, toilets are pit toilets located up or down High Street from the Inn, heat is provided from the wood cook stove or the heater in the Saracen Room.

Welcome To Houston British Columbia Travel Blog Spot

Above Photo: Brian Vike.

Since I have a lot of time on the hands, I decided to make up a blog on what Houston, British Columbia has to offer for tourists.

What I’m doing is to add the businesses to the blog, such as motels, hotels, Inn’s, etc. Also I have added a section on how to get to Houston, such by way of Greyhound, VIA Rail, Highway 16 and by Air Canada through Smithers, B.C.

Also I have been adding restaurants, fast food and grocery stores.

Another section on things to do while in Houston.

Another area I have added is for folks looking to get out of the big city and wanting to find a home in smaller towns. I have added a list of schools, I will be adding a section for the churches we have, etc..

A section on medical services.

I am adding photos that I have taken, and others are sending in their pictures from around Houston and other areas close by, so everyone visiting the blog will get a great idea what we have here..

So to locate my new project: Welcome To Houston British Columbia.

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you do drop by the blog.
